Snowy day in St. Louis near the Boring company

I am in St Louis on the way back from Norfolk Virginia to LAX.

As we taxied back in I looked for the famous McDonnel Douglas sign across the ramp at Lambert field.

But the sign is gone. You can only see a drab brown factory where the F-15 and F-18 were born. Makes me feel like the golden era of aerospace is over.

I feel lucky to have been part of the taill end of the golden age.

Maybe Boeing should change their name to the Boring company.
